THE VERY ANCIENT DRAGON'S
VERY OWN WEBSITE

  • About this site -- This site is intended to be a Storehouse of the Information I have collected in a decade and a half of playing Computer Games, mostly fantasy RPG's but a few Action Games and the occasional Odd Thing (like Fairy Godmom). I am making this information available as a Service to my Fellow Gamers and as a handy way to store my own Game Notes, which are *very* extensive. Eventually this Site will have all the Information I have, organized into tidy Categories. The only thing a dragon loves more than Piles of Treasure is *tidy* Piles of Treasure! I would like to have Searchable Databases available on line, but that's Someday, after I get all the way through SQL for Dragons. This site does *not* have Ads, Banners, Pop-ups nor Spyware and never will.

  • About you -- Welcome, Adventurer, and I hope you have found what you are searching for. If not, I probably have it around Somewhere and just haven't gotten it uploaded yet -- I have a *lot* of Stuff for a lot of Games! If you drop me a line, I will see if I can find Whatever It Is and either post it on the site or e-mail you the info direct.

  • About me -- I am an Old Gamer, first got hooked with ID / Apogee's Commander Keen in the early 90's and it was all downhill from there. Yes, I am an Ultima Dragon. My dragon name is Very Ancient Dragon (VAD for short) and here is my code:

VAD’S GAMES INFORMATION CATEGORIES -- look at all the neat stuff I've got! I don't have every category for every game (notice the tinge of regret -- dragons really like things to be complete). However, I have a lot of the categories for most of the games I've got, and there are over 120 games in my database. (updated Oct 30, 2004)

CRACKS: where you can get utilities that remove the protection from the game and/or protection codes if I have them

WINGAMES: actual saved wingames for games that allow you to import your characters from the previous game in the series.

VAD’S SPECIAL TREASURES: what information I have on the game. This is currently stored in extensive databases which we are currently working on converting to downloadable files, so keep checking the Treasure Room. VAD’s info includes:

  • Places:
    - highlight summaries and significance of major places like regions, towns, dungeons, castles, camps (etc.), local shoppes (with inventories if known), services, public buildings, etc.
  • Who’s Who:
    - the dope on every friendly character and enemy (named enemies only, like Sarevok) in the game and what they do (give quests, train you, give info, clues, etc.)
    - includes Gods, Saints, hirelings
  • Spells:
    - all the game spells with what they do and effectiveness ratings
  • Items:
    - all the game items with ratings, stats (damage, AC, THAC0, etc.) and what they do (if it’s not as obvious as hit a monster with it or wear it), which classes can use it, proficiency required, where you can buy it or find it, cost and selling price.
  • Monsters:
    - all the game monsters with stats (experience, hit points, resistances, immunities) and tips on how to beat them
  • Party:
    - professions, races, skills, abilities, proficiencies with ratings
  • Strategy:
    - how you complete whatever quest, steal from a shopkeeper, etc., get to that item that you have the coordinates for but seem to be prevented from reaching by a transparent wall, etc.
